About Robert Waugh & Muriel Waugh Educational Services

Muriel Waugh Educational Services creates literacy resources, educational games, science materials, and classroom-ready learning systems designed to help students become stronger readers, deeper thinkers, and more confident learners.

Founded by retired educator and author Robert Waugh, this work brings together decades of classroom experience, storytelling, reading support, science inquiry, and game-based learning.

Meet Robert Waugh

Robert Waugh is a retired middle school science and health teacher, author, and independent educational publisher. His work grows out of decades of classroom experience and a deep concern for students who need meaningful, age-respectful, practical support.

Through Muriel Waugh Educational Services, he develops literacy resources, educational games, science materials, and curriculum tools for teachers, parents, homeschool families, tutoring programs, after-school programs, and community learning spaces.

Why This Work Matters

Across the country, too many students are moving through school without the reading confidence, vocabulary, fluency, comprehension, and writing support they need. The problem is especially urgent for students who are capable and intelligent but have not been given enough age-respectful, effective literacy support.

This work exists because students deserve better. They deserve materials that respect their age, their culture, their intelligence, and their capacity for greatness.

Muriel Waugh Educational Services creates resources that help students build skills through story, structured practice, discussion, inquiry, and play.

What We Create

Our resources include reading intervention materials, morphology and fluency supports, novel-based literacy systems, parent and home literacy tools, classroom board games, science and STEM resources, math games, and advanced simulations.

The goal is to give teachers, families, tutors, and programs practical materials that are engaging, structured, and ready to use.

A Family Educational Mission

Muriel Waugh Educational Services reflects a family commitment to education, creativity, science, literacy, and student opportunity.

Robert Waugh leads the literacy, educational game, and curriculum development work. Muriel Walker-Waugh, a chemistry professor and educator, supports the broader mission of helping students see learning as meaningful, empowering, and connected to real life.
